We need your help in order to continue developing our services for the local older people
We are a small independent charity (Registered Charity Number 1173649) who have been helping older people in Merstham, Redhill and Reigate for over 60 years.
Despite the name Age Concern, we are not part of a national organisation and so are entirely dependent on our own fund raising efforts and a small grant from Reigate and Banstead Council.
We do rely on our members for income from memberships (currently £20 per annum) and in-house fundraising. However, we need to generate approximately £65,000 per annum in additional funding to ensure our financial security into the future.
Any donation you make will help us to continue to provide valuable help and support to older people in the local area.
Even a small gift can make an enormous difference.
All the grants we receive, all donations given to us and all monies raised through various fundraising activities are used entirely for the benefit of older people in Merstham, Redhill & Reigate.
Payroll Giving
Also known as ‘Give as you Earn’, this is a really easy way to support our charity. Your donations are made before tax, which means money that would normally go to HM Revenue & Customs is given to your chosen charity instead – so your gift could be worth up to 40% more! If your employer offers a payroll giving scheme, you can set up a one-off or regular donation to us.
Become a Member
You can also support us by becoming a member for an annual subscription of £20. The membership is open to everyone aged 50 and over.
Become a friend of Age Concern MRR
For an annual donation of £15 you can become a “Friend of Age Concern MRR”. As a friend you will receive advance notification of all fundraising and promotional activities, you will also receive invitations to join us for special, members only events.
